If you are a UK taxpayer then every £100 you give under Gift Aid is currently worth £128.20 (28.2% extra) to The Foundation and higher rate taxpayers receive an additional £23.08 tax relief making the net cost of the donation only £76.92. Therefore we strongly urge you to give under the Gift Aid scheme.
The following table shows the effect of the Gift Aid to The Foundation and the net cost for a higher rate taxpayer for a single donation.
| You Give | We Recieve | Cost to Higher Rate* Tax Payer |
| £1,000 | £1,282 | £769 |
| £5,000 | £6,410 | £3,846 |
| £10,000 | £12,820 | £7,692 |

Donations over a longer period, by standing order, may also benefit from the Gift Aid scheme and the donor may claim higher rate tax relief on the gift. It is amazing how the value of a regular payment to The Foundation builds up over time. If 50 donors each gave £10 per month, (the equivalent of 2 bottles of wine), the Foundation would receive £38,460 after 5 years. At £50 each per month (a meal for 2 - without the wine), the sum would be £192,300! Even the smallest regular donations can make a big difference.
The following table shows the effect of regular payments with Gift Aid to The Foundation and the net cost for a higher rate taxpayer over 5 years.
| You Give | We Recieve | Cost to Higher Rate* Tax Payer Over 5 Years |
| £10 | £769 | £462 |
| £50 | £3,846 | £2,308 |
